Guys, it’s March. I don’t know what the climate is like where you live, but around here (Chicago), things are still pretty gray. And cold. And snowy.

Why do I still live in the Midwest?

I find myself in need of summer fruit.

But until the weather warms up and the first strawberry plants start to green up, frozen fruit will have to do. And frozen fruit is exactly what makes this fruit and berry cobbler – “baked” in your slow cooker, no less – a perfect dessert this time of year. I can start getting my fruit fix in even while there is still the potential for another blizzard at any moment. I wish I was kidding.

  1. I’ve been wanting snow all winter here in VA, but we haven’t had more than flurries. Now I’m ready for spring, and they’re calling for a snowstorm on Wednesday. I can’t win! I love fruit desserts – this looks amazing!

  2. Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiirly! Come hang with me on the west coast! It’s been crazy sunny this whole winter (which is bad because we haven’t gotten enough precipitation but it’s been gorgeous…T-shirt weather lately!). Your cobbler looks insane-o delicious and I still need to try that TJ’s fro yo!

    1. You could definitely use all berries. For all berries I would suggest a berry-type juice (pom, cherry, blueberry), but apple would probably work just fine, too!
